Boaz & Dayton Joint Spring Cleanup- Saturday May 2, 2026
7:30 am - 3:00 pm at the Boaz Community Park

Dumpsters available for furniture, couches, chairs, mattresses, plumbing fixtures, tubs, stools, law mowers, scrap metal, stoves, refrigerators, and other large appliances.

Not accepted: microwaves, electronics & tires or household items like: household garbage, oil, yard waste, chemical containers, oil paints, old wood, lumber, ashes, and batteries.

Note: We will have attendants on duty for the Village of Boaz and Dayton Township.

Dayton Township has use of the Richland Center Sanitary Landfill until March 31..Monday is March 30.

DUMPSTER INFORMATION
WHAT TO KNOW:  All items need to be bagged.
Pay Attendant correct amount.
Costs per bag apply to the TRASH and MIXED RECYCLING DUMPSTERS
TRASH:  Bagged solid garbage.
MIXED RECYCLING: Rinsed out containers of plastic, glass and flattened cardboard boxes and paper.
*Rinsed out tin cans may be bagged and placed in the separate Metal Bin for FREE.
METAL: 
FREE Bin for misc. metal items.
*FREE: Place rinsed out tin cans in bags and
deposit in Metal Bin.
 No flammables or Hazards.
ALUMINUM: FREE Bin for Aluminum cans:
Bag empty cans and deposit for FREE.

ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED: Yard waste, tires, hazardous waste / flammable materials, paint & solvents, aerosols, compressed gas cylinders, furniture, mattresses, appliances with or without freon, TVs, microwaves, ballast or household electrical items, computers, etc.  List is not exhaustive. Discretion of the Attendant and may give alternate disposal location.

Goodwill: Computers & accessories, working household electrical items
Walmart: standard ink cartridges

 

Additional Recycling Options

Lone Rock and Boscobel stations will continue to be open for large items or construction materials. 
For other  recycling options not offered, or offered during limited times, contact:

  • Computers: Goodwill Industries is a collection/drop-off point for computers and computer related equipment in any condition – no charge.
  • Batteries: Auto Zone will take automotive batteries and used waste oil – no charge.  Batteries can also be taken to the landfill.
  • Oil Filters: O’Reilly Auto Parts will take used oil filters – no charge 12/12/2011
  • Used Oil:  O’Reilly Auto Parts will take used oil
